Juniata Valley Striders All Comers Youth Cross Country Meets

These meets are organized by Juniata Valley Striders club at Indian Valley Elementary School, Reedsville, PA. This scenic cross country course is the site of the Big Valley high school invitational. The races are open to public and free to all participants. The course is mostly grass (suitable for spikes) with some mild hills. All finishers get ribbons. The races are timed, and results are sorted and posted separately for each age group. These meets are great for beginners and as developmental races for competitive runners. Parents are also allowed to accompany young kids on the run.

9:00 am      2k (1.25 mile)       8 and under
9:30 am    3k (1.75 mile)        9-10
9:30 am    3k (1.75 mile)      11-12
10:00 am  4k (2.5 mile)        13-14 +

FREE. Parents are asked to sign a waiver
When checking in, runners will be given a bib number to put on the front of their jersey

Directions:

From State College, PA follow Route 322 towards Lewistown. After passing Potter Mills and seven mountains, take Milroy Exit. Off the ramp, take right on traffic light onto old route 322. Follow that road for less than 1 mile. The Indian Valley Elementary School will be on your left. Parking is available near the school. Total driving time from State College 25-30 min. Additional notes to NTF club runners:
Please arrive at least 30-40 min before your starting time to have enough time to check in, warm up, and check out the course. Group warmup will be organized at 8:30 am. Please dress for the weather. Make sure to have enough warm clothes for after the race on chilly or rainy days. Portable toilets are available on the course. Bring your own water / gatorade to hydrate before and after race. This meet is considered part of NTF High-5 series, so NTF runners earn points for participating in these races.
