Winter Training
Group Staying fit over the Winter is key to Spring success! |

Nittany Track
and Field youth athletic club is organizing a
winter youth training group for athletes of ages
11+ to provide them with off-season
conditioning that would allow them to perform
at the highest level during following spring and
summer seasons.
 NTF Winter Group in
2020 The
group
will meet a few times a week for coached indoor
training sessions. Depending on the weather, Training
will focus on the development of speed, power,
coordination, and strength - skills and abilities that
critically important in track and field and
other sports. Athletes specializing in distance,
sprints, hurdles, and jumps will especially
benefit.
Who:
Boys and girls ages 11+ (as of Dec 31 2023). Group
size is limited to 30 (due to space limitations) Indoor Facility: The Centre (Nittany Valley Sport Centre), 177 Champion Dr., State College PA 16803 Indoor sessions:
Outdoor sessions:
- Sunday
afternoon (time TBA) at SCASD outdoor track
Registration:
$150 per athlete (payable to Nittany Track and Field).
Athletes must also have a 2023 USATF membership for
practice insurance purposes. T-shirt is included in
the registration. Parents
will also be asked to create an account with the Centre
and sign a waiver before using the facility. Registration for the 2024 winter group
will open in mid-November
